The Youth Ministry Practicum is a series of 24 skill-building segments (called “milestones”) that you can complete with the help. CYMT recommends finding a veteran youth minister to serve as your dialogue partner or coach while working through the workbook. Centered on essential and practical skills for youth ministry, each milestone will engage learners in (1) 5-to-15 pages of relevant, practical reading on the topic; (2) the employment of templates and practical models; (3) dialogue with a coach; (4) a concrete final product that they can employ in ministry; and, (5) self-assessment and coach evaluation of performance.
