On Liberty: (Unabridged Edition) by John Stuart Mill

On Liberty was published in 1859, it is a philosophical essay in which John Stuart Mill defends the moral and political freedoms of the individual. The use of force by the state is only allowed to prevent someone from harming others. "His good, physical or moral, is not a sufficient justification." At the same time, Stuart Mill warns against all forms of majority tyranny. Everyone must respect the rules, but everyone remains master of their own choices.
