Ham (Amateur) Radio Evergreen Book: Establish reliable, lowest technical common denominator communications, locally & regionally, in a HOA by Dr. Marcus O. Durham PhD
The Evergreen Book is a practical guide for amateur from zero to a hundred watts. This provides the information and techniques to study for your license all the way to building your Technician and General station. You can get your license in 4-weeks. Promise. We ask no questions about prior technical experience. The objective is simple. Establish reliable, lowest technical common denominator communications, locally & regionally, in a HOA. This is a collection of select articles originally written for the Evergreen Communications group of ham radio operators. Over 300 articles have been written with about 100 included. This compilation of articles provides a concise, readable, one-page snapshot of each topic. In association with antennas and protection, we have a career of lightning and grounding research and subsequently have written numerous IEEE papers on the topic. Although the ranch, where our research lab and our home are located, is not in a HOA, we use the exact same equipment as we design, test, and recommend for those in a restricted environment. The smiley ham icon was developed with headphones, mic, and antenna to end each article. Read more
