Amateur Radio General Class Licensing: For 2023 through 2027 License Examinations by Stephen Horan

The General Class license is the second step in the US Amateur Radio licensing process. With the General Class license privileges, operators can access more bands and modes to expand their communications horizons. The General Class builds on the Technician Class knowledge with a greater emphasis on operating on the High-Frequency (HF) bands and their operating characteristics. This Amateur Radio General Class Licensing study guide prepares you for the mid-level FCC Amateur license examination in use between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2027. The General Class license exam has 35 questions drawn from a candidate question pool of over 400 questions. The guide addresses each of the questions in the license question pool, with each chapter covering one of the ten license question areas. For each question, the guide provides the question and the correct answer with an explanation for that answer. Additionally, the guide explains why many of the distraction answers are incorrect.
